Setting up custom keyboard shortcuts in WPS Office allows you to streamline your workflow and increase productivity by assigning your preferred key combinations to frequently used commands. To begin, open WPS Office and launch any of its applications—since the process is similar across all three. Navigate to the top menu and go to Tools and choose Options from the dropdown list. This opens the Settings panel.

In the left panel, locate and click on Keyboard Shortcuts. Here, you will see a comprehensive menu of functions organized into sections, such as Open, Edit, Navigate, Embed, and Format.

To create a new shortcut, identify the section housing the command you want to reassign. Then scroll through the command list on the right until you find the specific function. Click on it to select it.

In the bottom section of the window, you will see a field labeled Press New Shortcut Key. Press the key combination you would like to use—for example, Ctrl+Alt+V. Confirm the keys aren’t assigned elsewhere, as WPS Office will show a conflict message if it is.

If the shortcut is available, select Save to lock in the combination. You can set up several shortcuts in succession.

After assigning all desired shortcuts, press Confirm to finish. Your new shortcuts will be active immediately and will remain in place until you change or remove them.

To review or modify your shortcuts later, simply return to the Keyboard Shortcuts section. If you ever need to restore the default settings, there is a Clear All Shortcuts feature located here.

It is a wise to record your assigned keys in a notes file, especially if you use them frequently or share your computer with others.
